The Tanakh is rich with messianic prophecy. Many passages link together as they speak across time and space of the coming Messiah and Messianic age. In this article we will examine a few of the key texts and see both the expectation these passages speak of and they find completion in the in person, work and life of Yeshua.<\/p>\n

This article is intended only as an introduction to this\u00a0topic.<\/p>\n Deuteronomy 18:15<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Adonai<\/span><\/i> your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst\u2014from your brothers. To him you must listen.<\/p>\n This is the most explicit Messianic prophecy found in the Torah. <\/em>It occurs in the\u00a0Torah portion Parshat Shoftim<\/em>, which tells us\u00a0that God will one day send a prophet\u00a0(1)<\/sup><\/a>cf.\u00a0John 6:14<\/a>; 7:40-42<\/a><\/span><\/span>
